GIG INFORMATION
Freaked out free jazz meets paranoid electronics in this matinee performance kicking off Exile's Live Sound Experiments series.

Reuben Derrick is a well-respected saxophanist and clarinetist based in Christchurch. His collaborations with members of the jazz community and the underground noise scene have been a vital bridge between the two worlds. A true sonic scientist.

Mike Minchington is one of the cornerstone's of post-quake Christchurch noise. Self-releasing an impressive number of limited cassettes under various aliases (most notably as Months and in the duo Memory Burn with local hero IRD), and performing throughout New Zealand he has quietly been pursuing his own brand of sonic experimentation for the last decade. Often using percussion and found instruments in his electronic / tape experiments, his interests are now entirely acoustic.

black/black/blue showed up sometime towards the end of something that never really existed. One of the most exciting artists currently active in Christchurch, his pieces may fluctuate between wrenching confrontation and funereal sorrow.

Sonderkommando will be performing live for the first time. This elusive and mysterious project is sure to bend the minds of all who come in contact with it.
